Polesine Parmense is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 120 km northwest of Bologna and about 30 km northwest of Parma.
The municipality is located in the so-called "Bassa Parmense" area, northwest of Parma, it borders on Busseto, the home town of Giuseppe Verdi, and is one of the very few places where the King of Salami, Culatello, is produced.
It is one of the most intense and complete pleasures to be outside, al fresco, by the river Po, munching on paper-thin slices of Culatello, while the grammophone is playing Verdi, and the sun is setting.
Polesine Parmense borders the following municipalities: Busseto, Stagno Lombardo, Villanova sull'Arda, Zibello.
